Bill Maher said it best “Sarah Palin makes George Bush look like a professor” . Lets take a minute to recap with her statements in her interview with Katie Couric. Katie asks her about her statements on her stance and experience on dealing with foreign relations  Sarah makes the statement about how there is a small maritime border between Alaska and Russia she mutters a bunch of nonsense about her dealing with foreign trade and but makes no allegations towards actual relation, policy or diplomacy she rabbles on about How powerful Putin is

and how we need to watch him closely as he flies through our airspace with his nose tilted and to go where? As I watched this interview I slowly became more and more embarassed for her. I havent laughed as hard watching a politician stumble since Bush’s first 4 (after the first 4 it got to be really scary). So obviously her party, after seeing what she is made of decides to send her to an intensive debate preparation course for the upcomong debates between her and Biden. Hmmm maybe they should’ve thought of this prior to allowing herself make a complete mockery of herself , and amidst it began to seem like it was the begining of an idiocratic competition to see who can make the biggest fool out of themselves. First we have this ridiculous interview that in the words of Bill, Made stupid people say..”Wow she’s stupid.” and then we have John McCains ridiculous attempt at “stirring” things up with his rhetorical claims of delaying his campaign to attempt to save our economy with out a strategy, Okay thats a lie, A strategy that was first implemented prior to actually finding the true cure to our first depression. Guess what buddy , If it didn’t work then, it will definitely not work now. Now I do not claim to be a political scientist nor to have a vast knowledge on the subject as many other people that may blog about the current campaigns but I do know enough and I know the difference and I know that the republican GOP is either one making a mockery of our elections or two have not thought this through. What I do find funny is the ignorance that is accompanied to this campaign towards the republican extremists that find that John McCain and Sarah Palin are suitable to run our country. All I ask is that anyone with the slightest intelligence to recap. Watch the debates… that McCain so cleverly did not miss. Watch interviews and the moment that something comprehensible and intelligent spurts itself from Palin’s lips.. I ask that you check for a wire. Kidding…maybe… let it itch at your brain.

In celebration of the 2008 elections I have created an elections ‘08 blog category where I will be voicing my opinions on this years process. I will speak my mind openly and opinionated. I will not try to force you to make any sort of decision but provide you fact and theorize and discuss that fact through out. I will make a strong request and urge everyone who has the ability to vote to please take advantage of this opportunity that our ancestors and forefathers fought with their lives for us to have. I urge all female voters to remember the woman’s suffrage and the struggles females had to endure for this right. That is all for tonight. More to come.

Isaac Lee Hayes, Jr.

(August 20, 1942 – August 10, 2008) was an American soul and funk singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, arranger, composer and actor. Hayes was one of the main creative forces behind southern soul music label Stax Records, where he served as both an in-house songwriter and producer with partner David Porter during the mid-1960s. In the late 1960s, Hayes became a recording artist, and recorded successful soul albums such as Hot Buttered Soul (1969) and Black Moses (1971) as the Stax label’s premier artist.

Alongside his work in popular music, Hayes was a film score composer for motion pictures. His best known work, for the 1971 blaxploitation film Shaft, earned Hayes an Academy Award for Best Original Song (the first Academy Award received by an African-American in a non-acting category) and two Grammy Awards. He received a third Grammy for the album Black Moses.

In 1992, in recognition of his humanitarian work, he was crowned an honorary king of Ghana’s Ada district. From 1997 to 2006, he provided the voice for the character “Chef” on the Comedy Central animated TV series South Park.

Hayes was found unconscious in his home located just east of Memphis, Tennessee on August 10, 2008 as reported by the Shelby County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department. A Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Hayes’ home after his wife found him on the floor near a still-running treadmill. Hayes was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08pm.
